The moment we stepped into SMK USJ 12 on 17th July 2025, we felt it—the buzz of 164 Form 1 girls, ready for something different.
They weren’t just sitting in for another school program. They showed up with questions, excitement, and big energy. From the first activity to the final quiz round, they brought their full selves—curious, bold, and ready to learn what no one talks about enough: periods.
We didn’t come with lectures. We came to start real conversations. And these students were more than ready. They asked about cramps, pads, hormones, and more—things they’ve been feeling but didn’t always have the words for. And when we pulled out menstrual cups, tampons, and discs, the room lit up with surprise, laughter, and genuine interest. That moment of discovery—that period care isn’t just about one product—was powerful.
The highlight? Definitely the quiz. It was loud, competitive, and full of laughter. They weren’t just answering questions—they were owning what they had just learned. That’s the kind of joy we rarely see when talking about menstruation. And we want more of it.
By the end, the shift was clear. What started with giggles and uncertainty ended in confidence, clarity, and even pride. These girls didn’t just learn about periods—they reclaimed the conversation.
