Every Girl Deserves to Know Her Body
School : SMK Taman Medan
Date : 24 June 2026
On 24 June 2026, Menses Health Organisation (MHO) visited SMK Taman Medan for a Positive Period Classroom with 222 female students. The room started with listening faces, but it didn’t stay quiet for long. As the session unfolded, students became increasingly eager to share what they knew, ask questions and discover more about their periods.
The excitement really picked up during the menstrual product demonstration. Tampons, menstrual cups and discs sparked plenty of surprised reactions and curious questions. For many students, seeing these products up close was something new, and their curiosity quickly turned the demonstration into one of the most engaging moments of the day.
Things became even more relatable when the conversation moved to food and period cravings. Favourite snacks, sweet cravings and what to eat during a period got everyone talking. Together, we explored how the menstrual cycle can affect the body, while also touching on hygiene, cycle tracking and everyday ways to care for ourselves.
By the end, the room felt very different from when we started — more questions had been asked, more knowledge had been shared and periods felt a little easier to talk about. With the support of PopoMama, MHO hopes to keep creating moments like these, where curiosity becomes knowledge and knowledge becomes confidence.
