This impactful forum was made possible with the generous support of PopoMama as the main sponsor, whose commitment to period well-being continues to inspire and empower positive changes.

This forum, titled “Managing Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS) and Menstrual Symptoms Through Diet: What Works Best?”, featured a powerhouse panel of experts, Ms. Nursyafiqah Aqilah, a nutritionist; Dr. Farzana Athirah, Assistant Professor; and Dr. Teh Lai Kuan, Assistant Professor and a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. With perspectives from modern nutrition, clinical dietetics, and traditional medicine, the session provided a holistic approach to managing PMS and menstrual symptoms through diet. By the end of the session, the participants left not just informed but equipped with actionable steps to support their period well-being.

As the discussion wrapped up after an engaging hour, the energy in the room only grew stronger. The session seamlessly transitioned into a lively Q&A, where eager hands shot up, and the moderator welcomed a wave of questions. From personal concerns to deeper dives into nutrition and period health, the exchange became a powerful, interactive dialogue. Experts shared tailored advice, students voiced their thoughts, and the room buzzed with curiosity and empowerment—turning knowledge into action, one question at a time.

Meanwhile, just outside the hall, a vibrant mini-period exhibition and an MHO donation booth drew the attention of passersby. These interactive displays offered valuable insights into period health, hygiene, nutrition, and period poverty, sparking curiosity and conversations. With eye-catching visuals and informative materials, the space became a hub of awareness, inspiring visitors to learn, engage, and take action for better period well-being.

This Period Nutrition Forum provided students with valuable knowledge, practical insights, and a platform to break the silence around period health. With expert guidance and the generous support of PopoMama, participants left feeling empowered to make informed choices for a healthier cycle. Small changes lead to big impacts and this forum was a step toward better period well-being for all!
