Breaking The Silence : Empowering Minds Through Period Education Workshop

In November 2024, we successfully held five engaging sessions of the Period Education Workshop at SM Chung Hua (PSDN) Klang, exploring key topics like period health, hygiene, and nutrition. The speakers shared practical insights, empowering the girls with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their period health.
This education workshop sponsored by PopoMama and Kotex Malaysia kicked off with insightful sessions on period health, teaching the girls how to manage common symptoms and emphasizing the need to adopt better hygiene practices, especially during their periods. The girls also explored the powerful role of nutrition and how a balanced diet can alleviate period discomfort.
A standout moment of the event was the hands-on demonstration of menstrual products like tampon, menstrual cups and reusable cloth pad. The students were eager and excited, actively asking questions and fully engaging as they gained practical skills on how to use these products confidently and correctly.
After the presentations, interactive quizzes kept the energy high and the atmosphere lively. Prizes for correct answers sparked enthusiasm and reinforced the key lessons.
The workshop wrapped up with a dynamic Q&A session, where the girls confidently asked questions in a supportive environment. By the end, they felt empowered and equipped with the knowledge to manage their periods confidently.
