From Periods to Power : Empowering Girls with Essential Knowledge!

On December 4th, 2024, 142 excited 12-year-old girls joined the Period Education Workshop hosted by the Menses Health Organisation. Sponsored by PopoMama, the interactive session covered period health, hygiene, and nutrition, with expert speakers sharing helpful tips. It was a day of empowerment, leaving the girls feeling confident and informed about their period health.
The workshop began with an engaging introduction to periods and the changes happening in our bodies. The girls gained confidence in managing their periods, learned practical hygiene tips, and discovered how to maintain energy and stay healthy throughout their cycle. It was a fun and informative day!
The session also included a hands-on demo of menstrual products like tampons and menstrual cups. The girls eagerly touched and examined the products, asking lots of questions and actively learning how to use them correctly. Their excitement and curiosity made the experience even more engaging!
The best part of the day was the Mystery Box Quiz, where the girls answered questions for a shot at winning exciting prizes! It was a fun way to go over everything they had learned. By the end, they felt confident and empowered, ready to take charge of their periods.
